BOOK DEBT REALISATION

Book debt realisation is the name given to the process by which the Official Receiver or a private sector insolvency practitioner takes steps to collect the debts owed to an insolvent individual or organisation.  The exercise may relate to sums owed to a bankrupt, a partnership, a limited liability partnership or a limited company at the time an insolvency order is made.  The insolvency process may be bankruptcy, liquidation, administration or receivership.  At Bennett Williams Solicitors, we offer a book debt realisation that is designed to maximise recoveries for those responsible for collecting in the book debts of an insolvent individual or organisation.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO FOR YOU TO CONDUCT A BOOK DEBT REALISATION EXERCISE?

We offer a book debt realisation service on a no win, no fee basis.  We will generally charge on the basis of a commission of between 5% and 20% of any debt we recover, plus VAT.  If we are unable to recover a debt, there will be no fee to pay.  The level of commission that we charge will be based upon our review of the age and profile of the book debt ledger.  Before agreeing terms with you, we will be happy to undertake a free book debt ledger review and provide you with our initial opinion of the sums we expect to realise.

HOW DO I INSTRUCT YOU TO CONDUCT A BOOK DEBT REALISATION EXERCISE?

HOW QUICKLY WILL YOU PROCESS MY REQUEST?

Provided that your instructions are received by 4.00pm, we will process your request the same day.  If your request is received after 4.00pm, at a weekend or on a bank holiday, we will process your request the next working day.
