WHAT IS A THIRD PARTY DEBT ORDER?
A third party debt order is a type of court order compelling a third party to pay money owed to a judgment debtor directly to a judgment creditor. A third party debt order is most commonly used to compel a judgment debtor’s bank to pay a judgment creditor using funds in the judgment debtor’s bank account.
HOW DO YOU MAKE AN APPLICATION FOR A THIRD PARTY DEBT ORDER?
An application for a third party debt order is made in the county court using Form N349. On granting the application, the court will initially make an interim order and thereafter, list it for a full hearing, at which a judge will decide whether to make the interim order final.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO APPLY FOR A THIRD PARTY DEBT ORDER?
The county court charges a fee of £119.00 to issue an application for a third party debt order. In addition, we charge a fixed fee of £750.00 plus VAT.
