Debt Recovery Solicitor Accepts Invitation To Join Professional Mentoring Scheme At The University Of Liverpool
A debt recovery solicitor from Liverpool has accepted an invitation to join a Professional Mentoring Scheme at the University of Liverpool.
Richard Bennett, a Solicitor and Partner at Bennett Williams Solicitors, has agreed to mentor second year law students and provide support and guidance to them during the academic year.
The Scheme, which has been running since 2007, is designed to enhance the student experience, with the ultimate aim of increasing future prospects and employability.
It involves regular face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations and e-mail support and students wishing to participate register interest at the start of the academic year. It is only open to those who achieve good average grades in the first year of their studies.
Bennett commented: “I was delighted when the University of Liverpool contacted me to ask me to get involved in its Professional Mentoring Scheme. As a profession, I believe that legal practitioners have a duty to help to nurture the next generation of solicitors and barristers. Having already assisted at the Liverpool Law Clinic, the University’s flagship in-house legal practice operating within the School of Law and Social Justice, I know from first-hand experience how impressive the current batch of undergraduate students are and I am happy to do my bit to help them with their future career aspirations.”
